The Craziest Costume Changes in Comics

The evolution of Iron Man from his bulky original suit to the current look happened over the course of several redesigns, including a gold version of the original, the "Silver Centurion" armor of the '80s, and Football Pants.

 

Oh, Sue Storm. I don't know what possessed someone to redesign your costume as a swimsuit with a giant "4" cut out over your cleavage. Oh wait, yes I do. As you might expect, the Invisible Woman's costume reverted back to the bodysuit that Jessica Alba later donned in the movies, and the "4" costume now lives on only in infamy.

 

By far one of the most absurd costume changes in comics history, Speedball was a happy-go-lucky teen hero who made colorful energy bubbles, until one of his teammates accidentally blew up 612 civilians. He renamed himself Penance, as now dresses in a metal gimp suit with 612 internal spikes that stab him every time he moves. You know, as penance.

All information is revealed in a lovely scenic (or, for the cynics, very well developed) a public discussion with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Zelda director Eiji Aonuma.

Both are linked by two of the designers of the original Zelda, Nintendo EAD Manager Takashi Tezuka Toshihiko Nakago President and Co SRD.

The moth-eaten design documents mention the various in-game items from which the structure of the Zelda games today.

Nakago found documents mentioning compasses, bow and arrows, boomerangs, gold and silver.

Another document mentions an enemy called Hakkai, probably a reference to a pig character in the 16th Century Chinese novel Xi Yu appeared J.

"I think that it was Gannon," said Nakago. "Miyamoto-san noted down everything, and then copied it."

Elsewhere in the debate - you can investigate fully - the lighting industry, as the craft of game creation has moved to read in the last three decades, from the workshop of creation to big business.

"We were not particularly planned, a Zelda game for the Game Boy," Tezuka said, "but we thought we'd try it to see how it would work. At first there was no official project. We had our regular work during normal working hours, and then work on it a bit like an after school club activities. "
